Tilo Grenz

Tilo Grenz, born in 1981, is a sociologist, lecturer, and research coordinator at Pädagogische Hochschule Thurgau. Previously, he served as a tenure track assistant professor at Bertha von Suttner Privatuniversität and was a postdctoral researcher at the Department of Sociology at Universität Wien. He earned his PhD from Karlsruher Institut für Technologie (KIT) in 2014. His research focus lies in advancing the debate on the digital risk society by framing platform contestation and cybersecurity as genuine sociological fields for the reconstruction of infrastructural dynamics. Methodologically, he specializes in processual analysis and the development of »Interpretative Tracing«.
