Tim D SmithTim D. Smith received his B.S. in English from Tennessee Wesleyan College in 2000 and his M.A. in Creative Writing from Wilkes University in 2012. He has written thirteen books, the last of which is The Ghosts of Sand Island Lighthouse. Smith brings plethora of experiences to his writing, including 911 dispatcher, radio sports broadcaster, umpire, Parks and Recreation Program Coordinator, newspaper reporter and editor, coach, English professor, and teacher. In 2018 Smith moved from Tennessee with his wife Jamie and son Miles to Gulf Shores, Alabama where he teaches English at Gulf Shores High School.
