Tom ShermanTom Sherman is a media artist, writer and broadcaster. He knows the media environment from several perspectives, having worked in mainstream radio and television, but also having produced groundbreaking art with video gear, industrial robots, surveilance systems and telecommunications networks. He founded the Media Arts Section of the Canada Council for the Arts, co-founded Fuse magazine, and represented Canada at the Venice Biennale. Sherman performs and records with the group Nerve Theory. In 2010, he was awarded the Governor General Award in Visual and Media Arts. He currently teaches transmedia, art and design at Syracuse University in New York, but considers Nova Scotia's South Shore his home. Read More Read Less
