Tony T EvansTony Tekaroniake Evans Author of Teaching Native Pride (2020) and A History of Indians in the Sun Valley Area (2017), Tony Tekaroniake Evans is an award-winning writer and columnist at the Idaho Mountain Express in Ketchum/Sun Valley, Idaho, which wo the National Newspaper Association's General Excellence Award in 2018 and 2020. He studied cultural anthropology and biology at the University of Colorado at Boulder and won the Expatriate Scholarship to the Prague Summer Writing Workshop at Charles University in 1996. Since then, he has written for the Mountain Gazette, History.com, High Country News, Taos News, Santa Fe New Mexican, Multihulls International, Idaho Arts Quarterly, Boise Weekly, and Environmental News Network; contributed reporting to the BBC live Sunday Edition and Boise State Public Radio; and offered creative writing workshops in Ketchum.
