Tony Wilson Tony Wilson is an author, broadcaster and public speaker who has written fiction and non-fiction for both children and adults. His first novel was ‘Players’ (2005), and won him the Sydney Morning Herald’s Best Young Australian Novellist award in 2005 The follow up novel, ‘Making New’s’ (2010) was critically acclaimed and compared to the work of Nick Hornby. He has also written nine picture books, ‘Grannysaurus Rex’ (2004), ‘The Thirsty Flowers’ (2006), ‘Harry Highpants’ (2007), ‘The Minister for Traffic Lights’ (2008), ‘The Princess and the Packet of Frozen Peas’ (2009), ‘The Emperor’s New Clothes Horse’ (2012), ‘The Cow Tripped Over the Moon’ (2015) and ‘Emo the Emu’ (2015). His middle grade reader ‘Stuff Happens: Jack’ was shortlisted for Readings Children’s Book Prize 2015.
