Tracie AdamsTracie Adams, a retired educator and playwright, lives on a farm in rural Virginia with her husband and two writing buddies who look a lot like dachshunds. Her debut book, Our Lives in Pieces, was a 2025 finalist for the IAN Book of the Year for Memor. Her second memoir, Not Finished Yet, was a 2025 finalist for the BookLife/Publishers Weekly Prize for Nonfiction. Her work has been nominated for the Pushcart Prize, Best of the Net, Best Microfiction, and longlisted for Wigleaf Top 50. Her flash essays and stories are featured online and in print editions of over a hundred literary journals and anthologies. She writes to find meaning in the suffering and the joy of the human experience. Recurring topics in her writing are addiction, motherhood, adoption, grief, and family. While most of her work is not explicitly Christian in content, her faith in Jesus is the gold thread woven through every word she writes. She considers her greatest accomplishment to be raising four children who have taught her the most valuable lessons in life. When she is not writing or reading, she can be found birdwatching, enjoying a playlist of 80's music on her porch, or being chased by five short people who call her Glamma.Find her at tracieadamswrites.com and subscribe to her free Substack @tracieadams for news and updates on in-person and online events.
