Dr Alexa von Uexküll has read chemistry, with a focus on biochemistry at the University of London and continued to complete her Master's degree in Pharmacology, followed by a case award funded PhD in the field of central neuropharmacology. he joined Vossius & Partner in 1988 and was admitted to practice as a German Patent Attorney (Patentanwalt) in 1991 and as a European Patent Attorney in 1992. In 1993, Alexa became a partner in the firm. In the same year, the Regulation for Supplementary Protection Certificates came into force, which has been her main focus of interest ever since. Alexa works with clients in the chemical and pharmaceutical fields. In addition to drafting and prosecuting chemical and pharmaceutical patent applications, she has extensive experience in contentious litigation, including oppositions, national nullity actions and infringement.
