Ulric Black

Ulric Black is an Irish writer and poet. A lifelong reader and lover of classic and modern literature, he studied Irish and English language and literature in College where he developed a particular love of Old English and Irish writer and its viseral nature. He earned his Batchelors degree in University College Dublin and his Masters in Trinity College Dublin.

He lives in the countryside in Ireland with his family, where he prefers to maintain a private life. He writes under the pen-name Ulric Black for anonymity in the belief that anonymity allows a writer of horror the necessary freedom to let their stories go to the dark places which best serve the reader and the story,

A lifelong lover of gothic horror, occult tales and classical literature, Black aims to create immersive worlds which elevate fantasy, horror and gothic genres while appealing to a modern audience.
