V V S S SarmaDr. V.V.S.S. Sarma is presently Senior Principal Scientist at National Institute of Oceanography, Regional Centre, Visakhapatnam, India and Professor at AcSIR (Academy of Scientific and Innovative Research). He has more than 25 years of experience incarrying out multi-disciplinary research for studyingthe Indian and Pacific Oceans. He worked as a postdoctoral fellow in France for 2 years and research Scientist and visiting professor at Japan for 7 years. He is a fellow of Indian Academy of Science. His research interests include Biogeochemistry of Indian Ocean, long-terms trends in trace gases emissions, influence of extreme events on biogeochemistry and Land-Ocean-Atmospheric interactions and their influence on ecosytem.
