Val WilliamsVal Williams is professor of the history and culture of photography and director of the Photography and Archive Research Centre at the London College of Communication, where she initiates new research projects. She was the joint curator of Magnum Ireand for the Irish Museum of Modern Art in 2005 and How We Are: Photographing Britain for Tate Britain in 2006. She was awarded the Dudley Johnston medal for curation by the Royal Photographic Society in 2005. She is also an editor of the journal Photography & Culture, launched in 2008.
