Valliyaappa AzlaBorn in 1922 to Alagappan Chettiar and Umayal in Rayavaram in Pudukkottai district, Azla. Valliyaappa grew up as the adopted son of Valliappan and Alamelu. Rayavaram Kathi. He studied up to Class 5 at Gandhi Primary School and up to Class 11 at Sri Boomeeswaraswamy High School in Ramachandrapuram. He learnt Tamil more deeply from Madurai Mudaliar, Ilavazhaganar and M. Rasamanickanar. Even at a young age, Azha Valliappa won the hearts of others with his poetic singing skills. In 1940. He joined Govindan's Chennai Shakthi magazine and started his writing career. He is married to Valliammai on 04-02-42. He had a son and three daughters. He joined Indian Bank at the age of nineteen and continued to write for the next forty one years till the age of sixty, while also as the guest editor of Damaram and Sangu Palar Malar.Azla. Valliappa edited five children's magazines in one month. Damaram once a week, Sangu twice a week, and Balar Malar twice a month. To make illustrations mandatory in children's literature, he has instructed the painters how the illustrations should look for these magazines, made the prints of these pictures, prepared the manuscripts according to the print and sent them to the Kannabiran Press in Pudukkottai and did all the necessary work for the publication of the magazine. Every week he would gather sixty or seventy children in his house and get writers to talk to them. This made it possible for writers to understand their readers better and children to participate in their own literature. She founded the Kavimani Children's Association and appointed her youngest daughter as its organizer. Valliappan founded the Children's Writers' Association in 1950 on the eve of Tamil New Year, and from its inception till 1989, he created a golden era of children's literature in Tamil under various responsibilities. With the approval of Indian Bank, he is the Children's Book Special Officer of the South Language Book Trust, founded by the Ford Foundation. He has written more than 1000 songs, eight stories and three novels. He has translated seven books. He has compiled four books and authored eighteen others. These songs have been published in eleven volumes.The President of India, Fakhruddin Ali Ahmed honored the child poet with a shield and a golden cloth at the Silver Jubilee of Children's Literature in 1976.
