Vasileios DiakovasilisHe was born in Australia in 1962. At the age of 8, he moved with his family to Karpathos, an island in the Aegean, the birthplace of his parents. He completed his Primary and High School education there. In 1981 he enrolled in the Pedagogical Academyof Heraklion, from which he graduated after two years. He then worked as a teacher. Since 1999, he has been living and working permanently in Serres, Northern Greece. As he himself states in his first collection of short stories: "Sometimes the mind is filled with images, stories, thoughts, emotions... that want to escape.
