Vernon T ScottVernon Scott is a Georgia native. He received both his bachelor's and master's degree from Mercer University. He has studied creative writing during his undergraduate career and higher education leadership during his master's program. Vernon has condcted research and presented on the topic of rape culture within the collegiate environment. Additionally, he has had the opportunity to assist students in the capacity of teaching, mentoring, worked as a housing professional, enrollment management professional, success coach, and an academic advisor. During his pursuit of obtaining his degrees, Vernon discovered his passion for inspiring others to pursue their dreams and develop a strong sense of self. Vernon is a current doctoral candidate at Trevecca Nazarene University working towards completing his dissertation A pledge to rape - research reviewing the impact of rape culture within Greek-lettered organizations. He lives each day with the mindset of making his next day better than the present day. He also keeps himself motivated by using his personal motto believe to achieve; excel to excellence. The motto means one must have the belief that they will achieve their goals if they wish to see it come to fruition.
