Veronica GolosVeronica Golos is the author of Vocabulary of Silence (Red Hen Press), a response to the United States' war against Iraq as a witness-from-afar. The book was a winner of the 2011 New Mexico Book Award. Golos also is the author of A Bell Bried Deep (Story Line Press), co-winner in 2005 of the Nicholas Roerich Poetry Prize. Golos has taught extensively for Poets House and Poets & Writers, and she has lectured on Teaching Poetry to Children at Columbia University's Teacher's College as well as Colorado State University. Golos' work has been widely published and anthologized nationally and internationally. Poems from Vocabulary of Silence have been translated into Arabic by poet Nizar Sartawi.
