Vicki BoguszewskiThe Key West Poetry Guild has met continuously on the First Sunday of every month in a longstanding tradition established by Judy and Jody Adams at the Guild Hall Gallery on Duval Street in the mid-1970's. The Adams' fashioned their gatherings after he Sunday Salons hosted by Robert Frost and Ms. Jesse Newton Porter at the 'Porter Mansion' on Caroline St. in Key West, Florida, where the 'Robert Frost Cottage' is located. The creation of this Anthology was supported with a grant from the Anne McKee Artists' Fund, which contributes generously to the Arts in the Florida Keys and Key West. The production, promotion, and distribution of this Anthology were sponsored in part by the Florida Keys Council of the Arts, the State of Florida, Department of State, Division of Cultural Affairs, the Florida Council on Arts and Culture, and private donations. The poems of Ray Campbell (Rising Tide, 2002), Constance S. Gilbert (Secret of Salt: An Indigenous Journal, volume 3, 2007), Kirby Congdon (Magazine Six: the Key West Edition, 2006), and Edgardo Alvarez (Decimos, 2009; and SeaStory Press), are published in this collection posthumously with permission. Gratitude and appreciation are extended to all of the Poets and Friends of the Guild who contribute their time, resources, and creative energy to the continued success of the Key West Poetry Guild.
