Victor Methos
Victor Methos’s journey into the world of law and justice began at the age of thirteen, following a profound personal experience where his best friend falsely confessed to a crime after enduring an eight-hour interrogation. This pivotal moment stered Methos toward a future in law and culminated in a law degree from the University of Utah. Starting his career as a determined prosecutor in Salt Lake City, he soon established Utah’s premier criminal defense firm, showcasing his prowess in more than a hundred trials over a decade.
One case in particular left an indelible mark on Methos—and inspired his breakthrough bestseller, The Neon Lawyer. Transitioning from the courtroom to the writer’s desk, Methos has since dedicated himself to crafting gripping legal thrillers and mysteries. His exceptional storytelling has earned him the prestigious Harper Lee Prize for The Hallows and an Edgar Award nomination for Best Novel for A Gambler’s Jury. He currently resides in southern Utah.
