Vladimir TsesisVladimir A. Tsesis was born on June 22, 1941 in Russia, the day of the Axis invasion of the Soviet Union. Educated at Kishinev Medical School in Moldova and Odessa Regional Clinical Hospital in Ukraine, Tsesis immigrated to the United States as a Sovet refugee in 1974 with his wife and son. He completed his pediatric residency at Illinois Masonic Medical Center and was a practicing pediatrician for 40 years before retiring from Loyola Medical Center in 2004. He is the author of six books and has written numerous articles for various publications. He is a former fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics, a member of the American Medical Association and a member of the Writers Union of the XXI Century, a Russian professional organization.
