Volkan DuranVolkan Duran is an Associate Professor at Iğdır University, where he serves in the Department of Psychology. He holds a Doctor of Philosophy in Curriculum and Instruction from Gazi University and a second doctoral degree in Mathematics from Iğdır Uniersity. He also holds degrees in Sociology and Physics, and a master’s degree in Curriculum and Instruction. His research focuses on curriculum theory, instructional design, artificial intelligence in education, and the integration of quantitative methods into curriculum development. He has developed interdisciplinary projects and has taught a wide range of courses including curriculum development, teaching strategies, and educational assessment. He has designed teacher training programs that include emerging technologies such as artificial intelligence and virtual reality. He has published over 40 peer-reviewed journal articles, five academic books, and more than 60 book chapters on curriculum innovation, educational technology, and instructional theory. He has also presented over 90 papers at national and international conferences. His recent work includes research on AI-assisted curriculum design and smart accreditation systems in higher education. He currently serves as Education Coordinator at Iğdır University and is a member of the university’s Quality Commission.
