For the last 30-plus years, he has been a technical editor and writer for industrial atomation companies and magazines, including I&CS (Control Solutions), CONTROL, Control Design, Electronic Design and Food Engineering, where he is still a contributing technical editor. Labs has also exhibited photography in community art shows and has served as a part-time commercial photographer.
