William CrononWilliam Cronon is the Frederick Jackson Turner and Vilas Research Professor of History, Geography, and Environmental Studies at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. In addition, he serves as the director of the Center for Culture, History, and Enviroment at the university's Gaylord Nelson Institute for Environmental Studies.
