William RyanDr. Bill Ryan has worked as an associate professor in the School of Journalism and Communication at the University of Oregon since 1987. He holds a doctorate in media systems from the University of South Dakota, where he also earned a M.A. in media ystems and a second M.A. for design and photography from the mass communications department. Ryan has worked as a writer, designer, and photographer for several newspapers, and he served as the director of information and publications for South Dakota Governor's Office.
