William Winter EDr. Winter is a professor of pathology, immunology, and laboratory medicine; pediatrics; and molecular genetics and microbiology at the University of Florida in Gainesville. He is principal investigator for the National Institutes of Health-funded Tye 1 Diabetes TrialNet Islet Cell Autoantibody Core Laboratory and Islet Autoantibody Standardization Program. Dr. Winter directs the endocrine autoantibody laboratory that at the University of Florida, has given numerous presentations and has published extensively on behalf of the AACC. A multiple-time winner of the AACC outstanding speaker award, Dr. Winter has served on several AACC annual meeting organizing committees. He is a fellow of the College of American Pathologists and the National Academy of Clinical Biochemistry, which he served as a member of the board of directors.
