WillmentMr (Mat) Willment was born in Wales but now lives in Kent, England. He has spent eight years working as a primary school teacher and before this, enjoyed volunteering at local youth clubs. Much of his writing is influenced by the memories he has madeworking with children. Having read hundreds of books to them over the years, Mat has a comprehensive understanding of the content children enjoy and how to appeal to their interests. Mat hopes that teachers will be able to relate to the material in his books just as much as children can. He aims to encourage reluctant readers - of which he was one growing up - to start enjoying books.
