He has lectured worldwide and won numerous awards and honors, including the Fulbright Fellowship, Progressive Architecture Annual Award for Applied Research, Rieveschl Award for Scholarly and Creative Works at the University of Cincinnati, EDRA Career Achievement Award, and others. ELAINE OSTROFF, Ed. M. is the Founding Director of the Adaptive Environments Center and an international consultant on universal design education. She is the Program Chair for Designing in the 21st Century II: An International Conference on Universal Design, and is director of the Global Universal Design Education Project.
