Xin Bao

Dr. Bao received his PhD from Tsinghua University, where he also completed his postdoctoral fellowship. Since September 2023, he has served as an Associate Professor at the School of Civil Engineering of Dalian University of Technology. His primar research focus is on seismic and explosion analysis of complex media-structure systems. He has been honored with the Special Prize for Scientific and Technological Progress by the Chinese Society for Rock Mechanics and Engineering, the First Prize for Technological Progress by the Chinese Ministry of Education, an Outstanding Doctoral Dissertation Award by the Chinese Society for Rock Mechanics and Engineering, and has been selected for the Postdoctoral Innovation Talents Support Program by the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security of China and the National Postdoctoral Management Office, as well as the Shuimu Scholar Program by Tsinghua University. He has authored one academic monograph and published over seventy academic papers, and serves as an editorial board member for the International Journal of Protective Structures (SAGE).
