Ying MaYing Ma received her M. Sc. in 2006 in the Department of Biodiversity and Conservation Biology, University of the Western Cape, Cape Town, South Africa. In 2010, she received her Ph.D. in the Department of Life Sciences, University of Coimbra, Portugl. Dr. Ma worked as a postdoctoral researcher during 20112012 in the Key Laboratory of Soil Environment and Pollution Remediation, Institute of Soil Science, Chinese Academy of Sciences. Since 2013 till now, she takes a position as a scientific researcher in the Centre for Functional Ecology, Department of Life Sciences, University of Coimbra, Portugal. Dr. Ma' research interests include plant and environmental biology, plantmicrobe interactions, bioremediation heavy metal phytoremediation and global climate change impacts.
