Zhiyu HanDr. Zhiyu Han is currently a professor in the School of Automotive Studies of Tongji University in China. He is a recognized automotive engine expert. Dr. Han started research on multidimensional engine simulation in the early 1990s. He proposed varible-density turbulence and heat transfer models to improve engine simulation accuracy. He also developed practical engineering methods that enable combustion system optimization at the pre-prototype stage, making pioneering contributions in the use of advanced modeling techniques for rapid and cost-effective engine design and development. Dr. Han is a Fellow of the Society of Automotive Engineering International. He has a Ph.D. from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, Wisconsin, USA. His career spanned auto industry and universities with various job positions including Staff Technical Specialist in Ford Motor Company in Dearborn, USA; General Manager of the Technical R&D Center of Great Wall Motor Company in Baoding, China; General Manager of Changfeng Engine Company in Changsha; and Director of Advanced Powertrain Research Center of Hunan University in Changsha.
