ZoxAt San Diego State University, I designed my own creativity major that fused art, photography, film and writing. I met Andy Warhol there. He gave me inspirational advice: "If you love it, do it." I live by that mantra. Interest in experimental forms ed me to Eastern philosophy graduate studies at Berkeley and, later, surrealist and beat poetry as well as film at San Francisco State University. Studying with minimalist poet Robert Creeley expanded my creative range. Iconic Photographer Ed Caraeff and I teamed up to create album covers featuring large painted canvas backdrops for such acts as The Bee Gees, Leon Russell, Steely Dan, Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers, Three Dog Night, Poco, Nils Lofgren, The Guess Who, Sergio Mendez. We also designed the Bee Gee's tour jet on which I airbrushed portraits of the three brothers.In 2021, with co-creator Steve Fagrey, I made the experimental film POP UP that has now won fifteen international film festival awards as well as the esteemed 2022 Jean Luc Godard Award. That year, I also created a music video for singer Randy Berlin. It has won seven awards at the international level. I am now working on the experimental film THE FUTURE OF ART, soon to be released.
