ENTRE EL PODER Y LA RABIA: ALAMBRADASDesde mi primera lectura de los textos de Patricia Valdivia, resultó claro que estaba ante una escritora de verdad, aún en ciernes, pero dueña ya de los dones esenciales propios de la literatura, plena de tensión, directa como un disparo y onírica como los sueños más oscuros, recorrida por personajes sometidos a las redes más primarias y brutales de la vida.Patricia Valdivia maneja una peculiar modalidad constructiva que, se me ocurre, podríamos denominar neorrealismo abierto. La razón de llamarlo así radica en que su escenario narrativo es profundamente realista pero, al mismo tiempo, socava y extrae hacia la luz los tejidos de la pesadilla, de las bastardías, de las violencias sin redención posible, de todo aquello que marca con heridas incapaces de cicatrizar el alma de los agredidos, en este caso niñas, adolescentes, mujeres, y también el destino de los países. En Alambradas, lo subrayo con especial énfasis, está expuesta, sin ningún tipo de remilgos, la estructura de desigualdades y exclusiones que la cultura del dominio, tanto la ancestral como la moderna, tanto la familiar como la social, tanto la política como la militar, destilan perniciosamente y corroen países, sociedades, y desde allí carcomen las posibilidades de realización humana y libre de las personas, alienándolas a la sacralidad de ideologías y poderes escandalosamente inhumanos y anti libertarios. Pero, digámoslo con suficiente fuerza, con Alambradas no estamos ante una novela panfletaria o de compromiso político más o menos delineado, de ninguna manera. En ella se reúnen historias verídicas, vividas y sufridas por gentes cuya entidad real sobrepasa cualquier límite de la imaginación. La suya es una narración despiadadamente cruel y cruenta afincada, principalmente, en dos países de América (Bolivia y Venezuela), y cuyo recorrido, entre migraciones y exilios, viene casi desde el fondo de los tiempos hasta abrocharse en este presente donde el idealismo persiste contra todo pronóstico, pero también continúan sus falsificaciones y las resistencias que se le oponen no cesan. Es de esta red compleja de la que nos hablan las voces de esta novela, tanto las malignas, que parecen nacidas para sembrar sordidez, como las magnánimas, que se toman de la esperanza como de un salvavidas que no puede abandonarse. Y hay más: no se trata de una narración nutrida por los esquemas de la novela política de los cincuenta o sesenta, salta por sobre ellos y los deja convertidos en añicos. El recurso para lograrlo es a la par eficaz y sencillo: lo que ocurre le sucede a personajes tangibles, carnales y encarnados, y es desde el centro de cada uno de ellos de donde emerge cada historia y todas las historias. Es una novela, para decirlo churchillianamente, por donde corre sangre, sudor y también lágrimas, gritos de odio y abrazos amorosos. Es una novela sin mixtificaciones.Y digamos lo fundamental: el centro de su perspectiva es la mirada femenina, la sensibilidad de la mujer, y ambas dotan a la escritura y a los pasadizos de la narración de una muy peculiar visión del mundo, de sus realidades, irrealidades, misterios, humillaciones que, de modo unívoco, permiten que esta novela asuma las grandes cosas pequeñas, a veces invisibles por cotidianas, que, éstas sí, determinan los derroteros de la historia colectiva. No es una novela de masas o de agregados sociales difusos, es de gente dueña de una entidad definida, plena, para bien o para mal. Es una novela sobre la épica eterna: el combate entre los poderes de los poderosos y las rabias de los preteridos.El final de su lectura pasamos días y días sin poder desprendernos de los gritos y desgarros que escuchamos y vemos en ella.
