About the Book

This book upholds Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior and encourages one and all to reconcile with the Eternal God. The two short stories are dreams and contain stimulating messages in which Andrew, a fisherman who became one of Jesus' twelve chosen disciples, evangelizes as the main character. The inspired themes assume his apostolic spirit as a fisher of men. In Part 1, Andrew is by the Sea of Galilee where he meets a man who claims he worships a stone God. Andrew encourages the stranger to worship the one, true, heavenly God by expressing views centered on scriptural perceptions and the teachings of Jesus. In Part 2, two Roman soldiers find unusual interest in Andrew. They are hoping he can help in curing a comrade from experiencing troubling nightmares after he had been one of the brutal soldiers in the Crucifixion of Jesus. As an evangelist, Andrew uses the opportunity to boldly proclaim who Jesus really was on earth and that He is alive in heaven and is the best hope for healing and bringing peace and joy into the lives of one and all.
About the Author: I was born in Kingston, Jamaica in 1950. Writing short stories has been one of my pastime passions since the late 50's when I wrote biblical dramas for backyard Easter concerts. In the mid 60's, I started writing/drawing mystery comic book and amusing comic strips that I shared with friends. After 25 years of favoring mystery stories, I completed a series of 13 action packed undercover agent comic books, featuring Jamaican characters Lex Payne and Duke Elliot...(the names were developed from my mid-1960 cowboy Dandy bubblegum picture collection). One of the comic books, Operation Software, was published in the STAR, the Jamaica evening newspaper in 1989/90. After Y2K, the comic books were revised as action packed short stories, conforming to the original stories. I have written several other mystery short stories, one of which was adapted by 'The Creative Production and Training Center', Jamaica, into a drama production called 'FIX' about the dangers of cocaine. FIX was first aired on Jamaica Broadcasting Corporation (JBC) TV in 1988 during Drug Awareness Week. None of earlier the short stories has been published or ever been submitted for publication. My 'action packed' writing style was influenced by comic book authors, such as, Chester Gould, Stan Lee, Lee Falk, writers of the Commando comic books, et al. I have had no official training as an artist or a writer apart from basic high school and college English and tips from book and periodicals like Writer's Digest. Andrew the Fisher of Men (1 2) is the first spiritual book I have written, this was a real challenge. I'm an Electronics Technician by occupation.
