She is also Associate Professor and Head of the PG Department of Home Science in the same institution. She is a member of the Indian Dietetic Association and Home Science Association of India. She was a visiting scholar at Concordia College, Moorhead, MN, USA, and has also received outstanding grade for completing all requirements for individual study and tutorial from the Department of Food and Nutrition, North Dakota State University, USA. She has presented a poster at the 6th Pan Asian Initiative on Service Learning and 2nd Asia-Pacific Regional Conference at Lingnan University, Hong Kong. Dr John has published two books and has been a contributing author to four books. She has published 83 research articles in national journals and 21 research articles in international journals and has presented 29 research papers in proceedings at national and international conferences and organized national seminars and conferences.
