Nos dias de hoje, segundo o referido sociólogo polonês, estabelecemos relações fluidas, sem investimento emocional, tendo em vista que dificilmente podemos confiar no outro: Época de medo e falta de referências. Tudo é temporário, fluido tal como os líquidos. Há um excesso de mobilidade, de demandas, de informações que correspondem no indivíduo com o sentimento agudo de insuficiência e banalização das experiências Neste contexto liquido, surge em Nini, uma verdadeira paixão e respeito pelos animais. Por isso, nossa heroína começou a buscar as origens do magnetismo entre cães e seres humanos. Começou a estudar a obra de Carl G. Jung, o psicanalista suíço. De acordo com a Psicologia Analítica de Jung, madame Bousset, ensina-nos que a imagem do animal simboliza a natureza primitiva e instintiva do homem. Isto porque, os animais e suas respectivas características nos lembram experiências psíquicas que surgem frequentemente nos nossos sonhos e em outras manifestações do Inconsciente coletivo. Este pode ser 'visto' quando referimo-nos aos Arquétipos: modelo imaterial dos fenômenos psíquicos. De acordo com Jung, o cão possui duas características, ambas quase que inexistentes na sociedade liquida atual, e daí sua importância e magnetismo: a- a lealdade; b- o oferecimento do contato físico desinteressado. O companheiro de todas as horas. Ele nos alivia. Além desta compreensão da importância do cão nas nossas vidas, Nini nos oferece a sabedoria advinda do seu lado místico e este, sublinhamos, não pode ser ignorado por seus leitores. Sim, ela era iniciada às práticas xamânicas dos Sioux sobre os animais de proteção.
