Drink up a brew of magic, mischief, and mayhem in Holmes's and Watson's latest adventure.
In The Bewitching of Sherlock Holmes, Sherlock Holmes and Janah Watson leave the comforts of campus life to investigate a grisly, ritualistic dog slaying in the vast wilderness of Crooked Forest. They soon discover a link to the Salem Witch Trials as the "curse" trails them home. When history starts to repeat itself, the detective duo must race to stop a modern-day witch hunt, while wondering whether a human hand is to blame or if something more nefarious is at work.
Sherlock Holmes: A Modern Retelling
Jia Hartsiva's modern retelling of the Sherlock Holmes stories intertwines stoic Holmesian logic with a touch of the preternatural. But can sound reasoning always explain the inexplicable? Find out in the second book of the Truly Holmes Mystery series!
Same ol' sleuth: (Re)meet Sherlock Holmes as he kickstarts college and his investigative career on the other side of the Atlantic (having been kicked out of school in London!). This Holmes is much like Sir Arthur Conan Doyle's original: brilliant but a touch more eccentric.
Sidekick reimagined: Sherlock's housemate, Janah Watson, is quite unlike the original Watson. Having no patience for Holmes's eccentricities, she is quick to play devil's advocate and constantly challenges her astute friend.
About the Author
Jia Hartsiva currently works in academic publishing and lives with her family in Toronto, Canada. After completing graduate studies in anthropology, she went on to write in the business and popular science fields. Her heart, however, lies in the world of fiction.
