About the Book

Special offer! Get a digitally signed copy of the bookBhagavad Gita, the epochal Indian classic brimming with eternal wisdom, needs no introduction. Set in the narrative framework of a discourse between the Supreme Lord Krishna and his disciple Arjun on the verge of the Mahabharat war, it is a comprehensive and easy-to-understand summary of Vedic philosophy.Frozen in inaction, Arjun turns to Krishna for succour. Lord Krishna goes beyond his immediate dilemma to give Arjun a profound discourse on the philosophy of life. He encapsulates the essence of spirituality and virtues like courage, honour, death, and love in it.For any advice to be useful, it must address two aspects-theory and practice. Bhagavad Gita not only provides a deeply philosophical understanding of the world, or Brahma Vidya, but it also describes clear-cut techniques to implement spiritual precepts in everyday life. This is why it is also called Yog Shastra-it deals with methodologies for the application of spiritual knowledge, such as karm yog, jnana yog and bhakti yog. Including original Sanskrit verses, and English transliterations as well as translations, Swami Mukundanandas commentary on the Gita contains crystal-clear explanations, scriptural references and witty stories. Through the text of the scripture, he brings forth a treasure-chest of life lessons for us to imbibe. With characteristic charm, Swami Mukundananda leads the reader page-by-page on the path to ever-lasting peace and happiness.About the AuthorSWAMI MUKUNDANANDA is an erudite scholar of the ancient Vedic scriptures and a world-renowned teacher of spirituality. His purpose is to share the _nest gems of realised wisdom accrued from a lifetime of purity, dedication and surrender. In his writings, he quotes liberally from all the major Indian sacred texts and the Eastern and Western systems of philosophy.Swamiji grew up in India and earned his degrees from the prestigious IIT-D and IIM-C. Responding to the call of God, he renounced a promising corporate career to accept monkhood. He studied the sacred texts at the feet of Jagadguru Shree Kripaluji Maharaj, the original Jagadguru in history.Swamijis dissertations are humorous, his arguments are logical and well laid out, and his advice is practical. He has authored many bestsellers. His lectures on YouTube and other social media platforms are loved and followed by millions. Swamiji divides his time between India and the US.

A Thrilling But Totally Believable Murder Mystery

Read this in one evening. I had planned to do other things with my day, but it was impossible to put down. Every time I tried, I was drawn back to it in less than 5 minutes. I sobbed my eyes out the entire last 100 pages. Highly recommend!
