About the Book

BIONIC MR. FROG by Dr. Janet Anne Munger (DR. JAM) Illustrated by Carlos A. Aguilar, Jr. FREE KINDLE W/ BOOK PURCHASE Educator Reunites with Elementary School Student After 20 Years to Illustrate Her First of 60 Children's Books: Bionic Mr. Frog LEAP INTO THE BIONIC WORLD OF ADVENTURE Hop aboard the Bionic Lily Pad with Bionic Mr. Frog. Leap into his world of sheer fantasy and great adventures in learning as the two bionic brothers encounter one silly adventure after the next. Children will enjoy the creative ways that the Brothers Bionic and friends solve the problems they face as they continue their journey. Bionic Mr. Frog is the first book in the young children's series of learning adventures to be illustrated, gift-wrapped in sheer fun and creative fantasy. Bionic Mr. Frog and the cast of characters, Brother Donald at the throttle, their good friend Jo who traveled from London on her tractor with the backhoe with Polly and Molly, two beautiful macaws gobbling their lollies, always help their friends to save the day. Book 1, Bionic Mr. Frog, originated as one of the Short Vowel Rhyming Poems in the author's written Collection: FROM WHERE WE STAND ...FROM REVOLUTION TO EVOLUTION: A COLLECTION OF POEMS. Parents and children can look forward to more fun and frolic as they teach their children through rhyme and repetition of vowel sounds-the building blocks of teaching children how to read. Parents can delve into reading with their little tots as they venture forth into the learning communities of new friends they will meet along their journey. Leap into Adventure with Learning to Read Through Rhyme, Rhythm, and Sound.
About the Author: Born of Italian descent from both parents with my mom's father who was a professor in Italy, teaching runs deep through the blood. My work reflects my life-teachings of how children learn. I began initiating change as a teacher-some subtle, some not so subtle. I changed the structure and the ambience of the classroom, weekly, sometimes daily. Learning materials and methods changed frequently. Lessons were typed, providing students with the opportunity to incorporate technology and respond to questions I composed after viewing the materials the previous evening or on the week-ends. Students' work was corrected and comments written, daily-to keep students engaged and progressing. Each individual student's learning needs, style of learning, and success became my focal point. The belief that every child can learn, I truly embody. I would go to great lengths to see to it that every child learned the prescribed curricula at each grade level. Their success was my success. I would supplement learning programs, incorporating every available piece of technology I could lay my hands on. I increased time allocated to learning, adding programs prior to, during, and at the conclusion of each school day. Class periods were increased to allow for longer instructional time with fewer disruptions. Varied physical education, music, library, and art programs were incorporated within the school day. Through grant allocations I was able to obtain, technology labs and media centers were transformed. Classrooms became centers of learning with Smart Interactive Whiteboards and student laptops. Student and teacher motivation and attention greatly increased. Classroom sets of student trade books became part of the K-12 curricula with publishers' latest textbooks and grade-level learning components purchased through district and grant funds. Student skill testing in math was frequent. Large group, small group, and student individualized instruction were part of the norm. Special education & regular education teachers team taught small instructional groups of students in inclusionary classroom settings. Students worked together, cooperatively, in groups. Study-guides were used to solidify learning. After-school & summer enrichment programs were made possible through teacher scheduling and grant funds. When teaching Primary School-age children to read-rhyme, rhythm, and repetition were used. All human beings can learn. The moon is within our reach. Reach out and grab it.
