About the Book

Collusion: four short stories. C.H.EW Karl Denke was born in Munsterberg Silesia in the Kingdom of Prussia (now Ziebice in Poland) he was born August 12, 1870, and died December 22, 1924. At the age of 12, he ran away from home. No records were found of Denke until later in his life where he worked as a church organ player. Denke was very well off and didn't charge the church, but played for the love of the music. Karl Denke was well-liked in the church, but he quit membership in 1906. On December 20, 1924, Denke invited a man from his neighborhood bar to his home. Once the man was there Denke attack him with an ax. The man escaped and summoned the police to Denke residence. When the police searched Denke's home, they found human flesh in huge jars of curing salt. Law enforcement believed that Denke sold the flesh of his victims at the local market as pork. A ledger contained the details of 42 people whom Denke had cannibalized between 1914 and 1918. While in police custody, Denke received secret visits from some of the wealthiest businessmen and their attorneys. Days after the last recorded visit, Denke hung himself in his cell. Many people believed Denke was part of a secret society of wealthy cannibals. Society known as C.H.E.W. 1912 Pike Debra teleported from her office in Shanghai to her home in Chicago. She needed something to take the edge off. Debra liked to kick her shoes off in rapid succession. Kicking her shoe off, was fun for Debra, but it drove her A.I crazy. This time she did it so fast, that if you had blinked, you would have missed the whole thing. "Hi Debra, you almost hit the flower pot your favorite auntie gave you for your birthday. You better be careful." Said the A.I. Debra loved her Artificial Intelligence system, but who thought it was a superb idea to give the A.I's personalities and who put the bitch mood in them? The Pooling of the Pollen Most southern states have warm winters days, mixed with just a hint of chill at night. Sometimes it will get downright hot, right smack in the middle of winter. The great state of Georgia wasn't a stranger to hot days in March. And, it certainly wasn't a stranger to Pullen, red necks, murders and mud bugs. Devil Catchers Henry Smithfield and Jeff Scarborough both enrolled in the Marine Corps to see the world. In June of 2007, after the Marine Corps, both moved to Chicago to join the Chicago Police Department. Their timing was perfect. CPD had formed two secret groups of ex-cops. The first group was assigned to hunt serial killers in the local population. Those cops were known as Body Hunters. The second group of ex-cops only captured serial killers, who committed the most sadistic of murders. These ex-cops were known as Devil Catchers.
