Immer mehr Unternehmen führen eine CRM-Software ein. Leider scheiterte eine Vielzahl dieser Projekte in der Vergangenheit. Der Grund hierfür war meist der Gleiche: CRM wurde als reines Informationstechnologie (nachfolgend IT genannt) Projekt verstanden. Mittlerweile haben Fachexperten das Bewusstsein dafür, dass ein CRM-Projekt eher als eine Art Prozess zu verstehen ist, geschaffen. Weiterhin wird jeder, der ein CRM System langfristig und dauerhaft rentabel im Unternehmen etablieren will, um den Begriff Change Management nicht umher kommen. Ausschlaggebend ist im Besonderen der Faktor Mensch in einem CRM Implementierungsprozess. Für die erfolgreiche Einführung einer CRM Software ist die Akzeptanz der Mitarbeiter bedeutsam. Entstehen innerhalb der Mitarbeiterschaft Ängste und Widerstände gegen die CRM Einführung, wird das System im operativen Tagesgeschäft abgelehnt. Daten und Informationen werden nicht mehr konsequent eingepflegt, es entsteht eine mangelhafte Datenqualität und das CRM Projekt gilt als gescheitert. Um ein einheitliches Projektvorgehen der Nils Frohloff Strategic IT zu schaffen, wurde ein Consulting Ansatz zur Vermeidung menschlicher Barrieren entwickelt. Dieser Leitfaden soll zukünftig helfen, menschliche Barrieren frühzeitig zu erkennen und mit je nach Projektstatus angepassten Instrumenten proaktiv entgegen wirken zu können.
