About the Book

All of the families and friends of all of the people who died on September 11, 2001 will never be the same. The world will never be the same. Hatred is a terrible thing. It causes pain and suffering and grief. On September 11, 2001 The Day the Towers Fell all of the people of the world saw the effects of hatred. May we always remember what hatred looks like and may we never forget those who died on that terrible day.
About the Author: Maureen Crethan Santora became an educator in the New York City Public School System in 1967. She was an early childhood teacher for over 25 years. She retired in July 2001 as a staff developer. She raised 5 children. Christopher was her only son He entered the Fire Academy to become a firefighter in February 2001. On September 11, 2001 Christopher was one of the 343 firefighters who lost his life. He was one of 2,750 people who died on that hate filled day at the World Trade Center. She wrote this book to help young students understand that parents love their children unconditionally no matter what. She wanted everyone to appreciate their families and to tell their families that they love them every day. We must always remember September 1 1, 2001 as a day of hate. All of the proceeds of this book will be donated to the Christopher A. Santora Educational Scholarship Fund. The fund provides scholarships to students and educational material to schools.
