About the Book

When Julie finds out that she has to shoot a short film for one of her college classes she freaks out. She knows pretty much nothing about making a movie and doesn't know what she is going to do until her friend Ivy comes to her aid. Ivy's boyfriend is a film student and says that he will help her with her film project as long as she is willing to do a horror film. Julie agrees and after getting a cast and crew together they head out of town to film the movie at a classmate's house. What they don't know is that the house is supposedly haunted, and before long members of the cast and crew start dying at the hands of a mysterious killer who enjoys dispatching his victims in a variety of painful and horrible ways. It the brutal murderer a ghost, some deranged lunatic, or is he part of something a lot more sinister? As the dead bodies begin piling up it becomes clear that Julie's first film may also be her last... If you are a fan of the classic slasher flicks from the 1980's then this book is for you!
About the Author: Todd Martin grew up in Irvington, a small town in Kentucky. Thanks to his mother, father, and favorite uncle he started watching horror films at a very young age and has been a horror geek ever since. He is basically a walking encyclopedia of horror flicks (especially the 80's slashers) and has been writing for the biggest majority of his life. His first book, Nightmare Tales was published in 2006 and he has had several short stories published in several collections with other talented authors such as Steven Roberts, Jonathan Moon, and Thadd Presley (among others). He and his wife Trish just published their book "The Gardener," a horror novel that is a throwback to the slasher films of the 80's. He currently reviews movies and books for Horrornews.net and is a contributor for whatculture.com. In addition he has been known to act from time to time as he has appeared in a handful of low budget horror films. He also enjoys writing screenplays and enjoys making movies as well. He wrote the segment "Angel" which appeared in the 2004 film "Tales from the Grave 2: Happy Holidays!" which was produced and directed by Stephanie Beaton, and recently appeared in Tim Ritter's film "Deadly Dares: Truth or Dare 4.". He resides in Kentucky with his wife Trish, their cats Buffy and Willow, and their wiener dog, Cujo.
