About the Book

relationships often prove to be the crucible in which our godliness is tested. It is imperative then that we make our relationship with the Lord God Almighty our highest priority. Revelation 4:11 says, "Thou art worthy, O Lord, to receive glory and honour and power: for thou hast created all things, and for thy pleasure they are and were created. Therefore in all that we are, do, act or say, we should reverentially acknowledge the one from whom all blessings flow by giving Him honour. The foundation of knowledge is to fear the Lord - to honour and respect God, to live in awe of His power and to obey His word. According to Proverbs 1:7 "The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge, but fools despise wisdom and instruction." This is the secret of obtaining genuine wisdom. Fear here is not the terror of tyrant, but the kind of awe and respect which leads to obedience to Him who is the wisest of all. Therefore in all your ways acknowledge Him. (Proverbs 3:6). Controlling (or dominating) our world is one of the most desired aspects of human lives, yet the elements around us sometimes speak against our desire to control or exert. Sometime ago, I wanted to have a barbeque party in my garden and everything was set up, the guests started arriving and just about the start time, (as we want to start the party, eating and drinking), the cloud began to gather. There was so much down pour that we ended up eating inside the living room. God has the absolute authority over our lives and controls all that we do. Only what He allows come to pass in this world. Sometimes, it may seem as if we are having our ways, but the truth is that He only allows it and whatever He allows is for a purpose. Introduction All creation big and small were made by the command of His voice. He said "let there be light and there was light." (Genesis 1:3). He created the whole universe and all creatures that exist within it. The seas and dry lands are all the work of His own hands. The supremacy of His powers were exhibited in all that He made visible and invisible. For instance, who measured or instructed the seas where the boundaries should be? Who can fully understand the power and mysteries of procreations? Who unfold or unearth the powers that suspend the heavens above the earth? When the breeze blows, the leaves on the trees clap in worship, the birds in the air sing aloud of His faithfulness daily. God is and will always be sovereign. In total obedience to Him, the cloud, sculptured-like clouds, light, fire, sun, moon, water, wind, air, rain, etc., all daily moving in their directions albeit at His command. The greatness of God's power cannot be over emphasized. His creation of man in His own image expresses His love, desires, care and will for Man. Above all, He blessed him saying. "Be fruitful and multiply and replenish the earth." Genesis 1:26, what can be greater than the love shown in all these words to man? He said that "His thought for us are good and not for evil, to bring us to an expected end." (Jeremiah 29:11; Psalms 40:5). Many, O LORD my God, are thy wonderful works which thou hast done, and thine thoughts which are to us-ward: they cannot be reckoned up in order unto thee; if I would declare and speak of them, they are more than can be numbered. We are created, to occupy and enjoy all that God our maker and Father provided in the Garden of Eden. Genesis 2:19. I suppose God's intention was never to relate with the chosen.
