About the Book

Could stress be a warning signal that youre not living out your true purpose? Research studies show that 90% of all doctor visits are caused by stress. Countless statistics and basic observation demonstrate that stress has become an epidemic in our society and may well be Americas #1 health problem. Ever wonder how much money youve spent attempting to medicate and eliminate the stress in your life? How has stress kept you from moving forward toward accomplishing your Godgiven dreams? How many years have you lost due to the claws of stress? When we are stressed, society has taught us to sleep, eat, shop, watch TV, play video games, go to counseling, take medication, take a vacation, etc. This is like applying a bandaid to a broken bone. These solutions are temporary at best, a cheap and temporary promise of relief. Heres whats interesting. The majority of Christians, who profess to follow a supernatural God, are just as tired and stressed as the rest of the society. Doesnt that seem strange? The Bible says that Jesus came to give us abundant life. We were meant to soar on wings like eagles. We were designed to live like we were more than conquerors. Isaiah promises that those who hope in the Lord will run and not grow weary, walk and not be faint. The Bible also says that we would do greater things than Jesus did. Believe it or not, there are actually Christians out there who have gone from being stressed and exhausted to living a life of strength and supernatural peaceall by discovering and living out their one true purpose. So how do we go from being stressed to being more than conquerors? Here is an illustration to demonstrate the answer Two men are driving to work one morning, each in their own car, taking the same freeway, going to the exact same job. One is angry and stressed due to the terrible traffic condition. The other is happy and relaxed, enjoying the extra time to sing worship songs and talk to the Lord. Whats the difference between these two men? Their purpose. The fact is, your purpose will always determine your stress level. If you are one who lives a life of stress, could there be a chance that you have fallen for a counterfeit life purpose? Heres Michaels story of stress For years Michael lived a life of stress. Except, he fancied himself as one who did a really good job at managing the stress that accompanied years in a sales career. Then Michaels life took a turn. He hit a twoyear span where he moved his family five times, had four different jobs and lost thousands of dollars from a real estate venture. He also lost all of his equity from his real estate properties, got scammed from a franchise he purchased, accumulated debt and lost a loved one very close to himall the while trying to provide for his wife and two children. In desperation, Michael lived on his knees, begging God for help. He buried himself in prayer and Bible study like he never had in the past. The main subject of his study was the subject of stress. Halfway through this dark twoyear tunnel, the Lord revealed to him the counterfeit purposes that he had been living by, based on lies. Through the hardship of those two years, despair caused Michael to search for Gods power and intimate love. He realized that it was one thing for him to know about his heavenly Fathers love but it was another thing to believe and experience it. Michael learned that regardless of how much he wanted to get deeper in his relationship with God, he couldnt move forward unless he discovered and released the lies that had been like heavy shackles in his life. Through Scripture, the Lord taught him lifes ultimate purpose and he, in response, took the plunge and immersed himself in this purpose. As Michael lived out this true purpose, he fell deeply in love with his heavenly Father. Stress unexpectedly lifted off his back. Peace and joy slowly consumed his very being. Though he was never pursuing peace and joyhe found that they came as a result of his time with God. Beyond not feeling the stress anymore, Michael noticed that there were some other significant differences in his life. Things that normally annoyed him now hardly bothered him at all. He had more energy and a love for life. Chronic illnesses disappeared right before his eyes. All of these benefits were results of Michael pursuing and living out lifes true purpose. Most churchgoers today have done their best to do the right things. With a robust spirit of selfdetermination, they go to church, pray, read the Bible and volunteer endless hours at their churchall the while truly wanting to know how to get close to God. But this pattern of selfdetermination neglects to show the fruits of one who is soaring on wings like eagles. They have unknowingly embraced counterfeit life purposesbased on liesthat have resulted in stress. Based on biblical principles, proven scientific research and medical evidence, What Does God Really Want is a groundbreaking book that shines new light on the root cause of stress. In this book, you will discover * How to identify and avoid the four most common counterfeit life purposes. * Why stress is lifes great lie detector and alarm system. * The undeniable stresshealth connection. * A scientifically proven and biblical method to overcoming stress. * How to go from just knowing to finally experiencing the Fathers love. * How God uses stress to direct you back to your true life purpose. * Seven practical habits for living the promised abundant life. Join Michael Trillo for a revolutionary way to look at stress and remove the lies that have prevented you from truly enjoying a loving relationship with your heavenly Fatherthe perfect and loving Dad that many of us have always wished and longed for.
