Con Eduardo y otros tres hermanos, nos toco nacer en un rinconcito pobre de Montevideo: fuimos "los hijos del Peluquero", y nos criamos en ese barrio carenciado pero de gente trabajadora. Nuestros amigos del barrio eran hijos de padres de diferentes nacionalidades, que, como nosotros, sus ancestros habian emigrado mayormente desde Europa. Sobre la avenida principal y subiendo desde nuestras casas, estaba la iglesia evangelica que era bien activa en el barrio. Alli conocimos del amor y el poder de Dios, y de forma individual, fuimos experimentando el que "para Dios no hay nada imposible". Jesus fue nuestro mejor Amigo... El estaba siempre cerca y en toda ocasion estaba con nosotros. Eduardo fue mi Timoteo (discipulo), mi hermano y mi amigo. Yo era cinco anos mayor que el... el me admiraba y seguia mis pasos. Y asi como yo era "el hermano de Susana", Eduardo era entonces "el hermano de Daniel".

Crecimos juntos en la vida y en la fe. Ingrese al Instituto Biblico Nazareno y a los pocos anos ingreso el. Me ayudo en mi primer pastorado, y ayudandome se fue haciendo lider el tambien. Yo era inquieto y aventurero, buscaba siempre los caminos que me ayudaran a mejorar, asi que cuando averigue sobre un lugar donde continuar nuestros estudios, lo invite a el, y asi los cuatro de nosotros, milagros mediante, viajamos a San Antonio en Texas, con el fin de que Eduardo y yo consiguieramos la Licenciatura en Teologia. Terminado nuestro tiempo en San Antonio, nuestros caminos se separaron, Dios me llevo a mi a Kansas y a Eduardo a una Universidad hermosa en California. A pesar de la distancia, seguimos siendo bien unidos, ellos (Eduardo y Beverly) hasta nos pagaron los pasajes para que Linda, Cristina y yo fueramos a visitarlos. Siempre fuimos asi en eso de compartir sin mirar costos o lo que fuera. Eduardo consiguio su Maestria en Teologia y recibio una invitacion para ir a Ecuador a pastorear una iglesia que anos antes Linda y yo habiamos comenzado como parte de un programa de Misioneros Estudiantiles.

No dejo de ser mi amigo ni mi Timoteo, pero ya comenzaba a superarme. No nos veiamos tanto, pero... cartas, llamadas telefonicas, internet y visitas, mantuvieron siempre nuestra amistad. Yo pase a ser "el hermano de Eduardo" sin ningun problema, no habia competencia entre nosotros. Eduardo fue creciendo con los mismos ingredientes que yo... se fue dando cuenta que Dios estaba con el y que podia hacer lo mismo que yo y hasta mas. Para cada uno Dios tiene un plan y una "hoja de ruta". Desde la Oficina Regional de America del Sur, Eduardo me enviaba a dar clases intensivas a diferentes paises y ciudades de la region. Lamentablemente, Eduardo tuvo un tiempo bien dificil... cayo, y de la noche a la manana perdio todo. Perdio todo menos el amor que Dios tenia por el... fueron anos dificiles... sin dejar de amarlo, Dios lo espero, espero su regreso, y cuando Eduardo regreso, Dios le abrio los brazos, las puertas, y lo restauro. Puertas increibles, de esas que solo Dios puede abrir... inimaginables como lo fue esa puerta de la television en Ecuador. Eduardo volvio a volar, regreso al Senor y a su pasion de predicar.

Este libro pretende ser "su historia", pero muestra tambien el caracter y esencia de Dios... Dios no mira lo que mira el hombre... nos vio en aquel rinconcito donde nacimos y estuvo con nosotros durante todo nuestro camino, nos levanta cuando caemos y no deja de amarnos nunca.
