Dominierten zuvor statische Seiten das World Wide Web, so kam es im letzten Jahrzehnt zunehmend zu einer Dynamisierung des Internetseiten-Inhalts und einer aktiven Partizipation sowie Mitgestaltung durch deren Nutzer. Ein wesentliches Schlagwort, das im Zuge dieser Entwicklung oft genannt wird, ist der Begriff "Web 2.0". Kurz gefasst repräsentiert er die neuen Möglichkeiten, aktiv das Internet mit zu gestalten und umfasst dabei gleichzeitig verschiedene Formen der Nutzung. Da der Computer einen wesentlichen Bestandteil in der Ausbildung zum/zur Mediengestalter/in Digital und Print darstellt und die Nutzung des Internets vermehrt in den Berufsschulunterricht integriert wird, spielt der Begriff des "Web 2.0" auch hier eine wichtige Rolle. Diese Arbeit befasst sich mit der Frage, welche Möglichkeiten der Einsatz von Web 2.0 im Ausbildungsgang Mediengestalter/in Digital und Print bietet. Konkret soll dies am Beispiel des Forschungsprojekts "Mediencommunity 2.0" erörtert werden, in dessen Rahmen modellhaft eine Web 2.0-Plattform zur beruflichen Weiterbildung im Bereich der Druck- und Medienbranche entwickelt wurde. Da die Kultusministerkonferenz (KMK) in besonderem Maße die Entwicklung von beruflicher Handlungskompetenz in der beruflichen Bildung fordert und in Folge dessen handlungsorientierter Unterricht heute ein zentrales Konzept im Berufsschulunterricht darstellt, erfolgt die Untersuchung der Einsatzmöglichkeiten von Web 2.0 speziell im Bezug auf Aspekte handlungsorientierten Unterrichts.
