About the Book

ENGLISH DESCRIPTION

The first thriller by the phenomenon that is Joël Dicker, author of La verdad sobre el caso Harry Quebert/The Truth About the Harry Quebert Affair and El libro de los Baltimore/ The Baltimore Boys. This is a story with which he stunned the jury of a Young adult literary award, beautifully illustrated by David de las Heras.

When he was nineteen, Joël Dicker sent in his work, El tigre to a literary award. Later, the president of the jury confessed that the jury had not taken his work into consideration because it seemed unreal that someone so young could have written such a story. Eight years later, Dicker received the Great Award by the French Academy, and the Goncourt des Lycéens Award with La verdad sobre el caso Harry Quebert/The Truth About the Harry Quebert Affair which has since become a literary phenomenon.

In this great first story, inspired by the great Russian and American classics, Dicker begins to dive into and play with his favorite themes (existentialism, life's important questions, violence, and the possibility of redemption) and he exhibits his great ability to capture the reader with a powerful story and greatly developed characters.
About the Author: Joël Dicker nació en Suiza en 1985.
