About the Book

Everything Flows: A tribute to water's ceaseless movement, shaping stories in stone. Laura Veschi's photographs capture this flow, echoing the creative process of sculptor Filippo Tincolini. Tradition meets innovation, as ancient skills merge with contemporary art. Everything Flows explores the interconnectedness of water, time and artistic creation. Inspired by Heraclitus' philosophy of constant flow, the book captures the essence of sculptor Filippo Tincolini's work, reflecting the continuous flow of thought and gesture from the initial concept to the finished sculpture. Water, a symbol of this perpetual movement, becomes a tangible element in Laura Veschi's photography, its 'sound' echoing the creative process and the transformation of materials. The project also highlights the enduring nature of artistic tradition, where ancient skills such as stonemasonry are reinterpreted in contemporary art. Just as water shapes stone over time, tradition influences artists like Tincolini, bridging past and present. Veschi's black and white photographs document Tincolini's journey, capturing the evolution of form and the interplay between artist, material and the silent narrative of water. Each image represents a moment in this constant transformation and celebrates the enduring power of artistic creation. Text in English, French and Italian. AUTHORS: Laura Veschi, who specialises in photographing artists' work, is the official photographer of LITIX. She is passionate about art, crafts and travelling to discover different cultures. A graduate of the University of Florence in Educational Sciences, she became a photographer in 2016 and trained at the Marangoni School (Florence) and Spazi Fotografici (Sarzana). She collaborates with Avantarte (London) and had her first solo exhibition "Anime Resistenti" in 2023. Her publications include Ritorno a casa and Sentire la forma. She participated in Paratissima 2023. Roberto Spinetta, marketing and communications consultant and journalist since 1992, is an advocate of humanistic marketing. In 2024 he co-authored La Spezia's successful bid to become Italy's Capital of Culture in 2027. An expert in graphic design, he has edited numerous publications, including Apuane, terre selvagge; Giuliana Racchi 1922-2019; Il cavallo d'acciaio; Above + Beyond and Ritorno a casa. Spinetta has organised art and music events, including the 2024 National Antiques Exhibition in Sarzana. He directed RESedizioni from 2007 to 2012. SELLING POINTS: . The book follows the creative development of sculptor Filippo Tincolini, from the initial concept to the completed work, highlighting the continuous flow of thoughts and gestures that characterises his oeuvre . The book uses black and white images to enhance the flow of time and forms, with water, which shapes even the hardest rock, as the silent protagonist . The book alludes to the continuity between past and present, showing how water, which for centuries has shaped the culture of stonemasons and rock itself, is now present in the dialogue between marble, photography and sculpture . Published to accompany an exhibition: Human Connections, Pietrasanta (LU), Italy, February 15, – June 2, 2025 170 b/w illustrations
