His earlier works in English include Novels 'Darkness in the arc', 'Neither: The birth of Transgender', 'Behind the moving Images' and nonfiction 'Elements of film editing', and 'Mohammad Rafi: The melody man'. He has written and directed more than hundred short films on a wide variety of subjects from Agriculture to Arts, from Music to Science and from News and current affairs to Educational films. His films have begged several National and International Honors. He is honored with 'Scroll of Honor' for outstanding services towards the welfare & growth of Hindi Talkie Cinema by Indian Organization of Mass Communication & School of Broadcasting & Communication, Mumbai, and the 'Life Time Achievement Award' for contribution in the growth and promotion of Documentary Films by International Centre for Cultural Relations, Mumbai and many more. An Honors graduate from the University of Pune, he has also graduated in cinema from the Film and Television Institute of India with a rare flair in Hindi and English equally .He later studied Journalism, Press relations and Management.
