About the Book

-

David and Debra previously discovered that the Royal Ferries Wheel had magical powers.
In time travel adventures they saw different kinds of rulers. Some reigned, others trampled. Besides time traveling helped them discover lost treasures in today's modern world.
The children met Colonel McEwan who was a well-decorated royal guard.
The result, he became the queen's most trusted royal court officer. Important and delicate assignments were handed over to him.
McEwan visited the bakeries to share his plight at the palace with Debra's father.
When the guard collected royal insignias, from a smith, he met a hostile militia, hence he hid the treasures in an open field.
Perilously, he couldn't find the royal treasures. The queen's royal plans and her most urgent state businesses were in jeopardy.
His rivals considered his goose-cooked.
The thrill of time travel returned the duo to Braid Burn Castle where they hitched the Royal Ferries Wheel.
In ancient Mongolia, a traditional betrothal party immediately turned into the assassination of a tribal chief.
At the age of nine, a prince was bereaved, his throne defiled, and his disinherited family hurtled down the precipice of poverty, insecurity, and deprivation.
Temujin trained himself to survive the harsh Mongolian life. He made bows and practiced archery. Fought to defend himself and his family. Hunted wild animals for food. Raced horses in the Steppe to chase intruders away.
Temujin fought his life and way out of perils ruthlessly to reclaim the throne of Yesugei at a crowning ceremony on the banks of River Onon, then as Genghis Khan.
The Mongol empire under Genghis Khan encompassed many territories and peoples. Through military fiat, they brutally brought many kingdoms, empires, and peoples under their authority.
Foes considered Genghis Khan as a brutal and savage warrior.
The Mongols menacingly knocked on the gates of European kingdoms. Their strong armies were backed by a merciless cavalry. King Andrew warned John and pleaded for help.
Tahk! Tahk! Tahk! The echoes of penetrating Mongol militia arrows accompanied the howling of every targeted soul brutally shot.
Neighboring Georgia and Armenia had both surrendered. Anti-war members of his court urged him to surrender.
When the response finally arrived, King Andrew went berserk. England had volunteered no soldiers nor weapons to join his warriors.
Yet Genghis Khan was ferocious and unstoppable in war. Opponent soldiers, horsemen, and infantry were tender fodder for his skilled archers.
In his desperate war to defend Hungary King John pushed his young virgin daughter to the battlefront. Not for bridal diplomacy but as a saint of war.
What with regular warriors clutching the abbess hemlines of their wives' robes?
Taking to war with courage, in all the territories of Hungary, Elizabeth deployed the most unconventional war weapon against Genghis Khan.
As Genghis and his warriors bagged the trophies of war, a diminutive war spirit diffused among their generation. As is the case overall historical events of substance, children of pogrom imitated war exploits and dangers of their lethal adults, on their playing courts and fields.
Odd as it may sound, the brutal warrior had a couple of philosophies. Genghis' philosophies, nourished by bloodshed in his brutal territorial war campaigns, would amalgamate to form indelible sunbaked marks on the governance tenets of modern-day progressive societies.
And so did a time-travel visit to his ancient kingdom save modern McEwan's skin by the thin blade of an archer's arrow. In ancient Mongol 'survived by the ears of a tahk.'
