Pandeia is on the brink of destruction. Sithares, the God of Fire, is more powerful than ever. The Circle of Shadows, Pandeia's only defence against Sithares, is cornered by the indestructible armies of Ermoor.
Caught between two impossible tasks, a small group of Heroes must find a way to win both, or lose all of Pandeia:
Aerene, the humble priest-in-training chosen as Aurath's Hero;
Lashek, a sarcastic warrior burdened with a vital revelation;
Mara, the traumatised wife of the Circle of Shadow's enemy, terrified of facing him again;
Aella, Queen of Theara, stuck between duty and vengeance;
And Zeera, leader of the Circle, bearing the weight of the world on her shoulders.
With Ermoor at the gates and Sithares' smoke filling the sky, a horrifying realisation dawns:
