About the Book

This Story is about a boy called called Ricky, despite the challenges that he encountered in Life, he always had a dream, a destiny a purpose. And his dream was the motivator responsible for him to push forward and to never back down but to keep pushing until his dream became reality. Despite where he came from he never let that weight him down, He followed bad company to get the funds that he needed, then eventually that inner voice within him began to speak. Ricky was born in the ghetto on the small island of Barbados, the oldest of three boys, he was nineteen years old, his mother's name was Anne and she had three sons Ricky, Tony and Eddie from three different relationships, after trying to find love and find that special person all Anne was left with out of the relationships was three sons as a result of not finding the right man and moving on to the other. Ricky and his two brothers all lived with their grandmother after their mom Anne made up her mind that she was looking for a better life and that she was not going to stay around Barbados, so she left Barbados, and left her sons to be raised by her mother Elsie. Ricky was never loved, growing up his mom never had time for him or his brothers since she was all caught up in one relationship after the next, she was always too busy trying to find the right man in her life and had no time for Ricky or his brothers when he was growing up. His grandmother Elsie did not really have time for the boys, she was seventy years old and could not handle three young children, she was just to help her daughter out after her was a single mother who was left with three children and was falling into depressive states all the time just thinking about how her life end up to be. Elsie hardly could take care of herself and was just barely managing from her pension checks from the government that she would get every two weeks, so with the money she got she had to make ends meet since she did not hear from her daughter for a while and so she was finding it very difficult to make ends meet. Ricky and his brothers would walk the street of town picking up empty soda cans and pep bottles so that they could have money to buy things that they needed, after being in school for a while and not learning anything Ricky drop out of school when he was fifteen years old. His brothers were seventeen and fourteen and had also drop out of school, so every day they would go around collecting soda can and pep bottles to make money for themselves. Some people tend to put their lives in danger by doing things they should not do, but sometimes if that person wants better of them selves and they have the will power and strength to say I Want A Change, the conscience within them speaks up, that inner voice, and it helps propel them on the right path, It shows them, the wrongs, the errors, the good and the positive, yes it shows them the TRUTH. Also a helping hand from someone who care also plays a part in helping one decide the matters of the heart, and that helping hand lets them know that yes they are Loved, they have a purpose, they have a life not to do what is bad but to do some thing good, to help themselves and in turn will be able to help others in some way shape or form. Life has its challenges and some people also like to taunt us also with our challenges, and we as people must determine if we will let what people say keep us down or Life's Challenges, or are we going to get up brush off, hold our head up high and say I have a dream, I have a propose, I have a destiny, and keep pushing on until our dreams become reality, to never give up but always strive for excellence, for better, for good, for Truths. Ricky was determine to show others where he lived and his up bringing was not going to stop him from being the man he wanted to be, he was determined to show others that if you have a dream it can turn into reality, he was determine to show others you fall but you know what you can also get up and go
