The reason for putting this book together was a journey for Camilla to understand different purposes and meanings. Each drawing is a question about meaningful words and events.The medium is black pen and edited with Adobe Photoshop to further render details. The title 'Hidden Words' is suitable as it captures the spiritual inner world of words in our life.The outstanding feature in the book is the detail and the fine careful minute drawings of the characters and the peculiarity of items which have a genuine and precious feeling and there is a superb high quality in the careful pen renderings in the book. The images are incredibly beautiful and sensitive.This book is intended for the crazy adult colouring crowd who are enthused by 'mindfulness' and the way colouring promotes a peacefulness and an understanding of connecting with one's inner self. It will also appeal to artists as it depicts a journey into discovering ways of expressing oneself.It has a sense of mystery surrounding the illustrations and there is a preciousness about each drawing. It will allow hopefully the person who takes it up, that is colouring, a real connection with different emotions, feelings, and experiences they go through. About the Author: After relocating permanently to the UK from South Africa in 2002, Camilla immersed herself in teaching art in England but she also spent 3 years in Beijing, China and 6 years teaching in South Africa. She has also travelled extensively and worked in the UAE and in New York. All of these places have given her a deeper understanding of different people and their cultures. She has a 4 year BA(ED) Art qualification and a postgraduate qualification in History of Art BA (Hons) from South Africa. Teaching in a developing country and in the UK gives her a holistic approach to education and enabled her to realise education is more than learning in the classroom but it is developing a curiosity, a true interest and passion which leads to life-long learning. As a visual educator, enthusiastic painter and illustrator she enjoys drawing for pleasure and making meaning out of her surroundings and events. She is passionate about teaching art and encouraging students to go on a personal journey of discovery using their own innate special skill. She believes in educating students to solve problems creatively and collaboratively, encouraging creative risk taking.
